Sans jamais renier des influences marquantes telles que <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cannonball_Adderley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Cannonball Adderley<\/span><\/a> ou <a href=\"https:\/\/www.johncoltrane.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">John Coltrane<\/span><\/a>, Baptiste fait tout pour se d\u00e9marquer, cr\u00e9er sa propre patte. Il se frotte \u00e0 tout type de style, va \u00e0 la rencontre des autres musiciens et voit le b\u0153uf comme un challenge bienveillant perp\u00e9tuel. Encha\u00eenant les collaborations \u00e0 travers le monde, il r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 sortir quatre albums en son nom propre, et entame 2024 avec le tr\u00e8s \u00e9pur\u00e9 <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><a style=\"color: #ff00ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/bfan.link\/django-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Django\u00a0!<\/em> <\/a><\/span>qu&rsquo;il partage avec le contrebassiste <a href=\"https:\/\/jazzinnoyon.fr\/biographie-sylvain-romano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Sylvain Romano<\/span><\/a> et le batteur <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andr%C3%A9_Ceccarelli\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Andr\u00e9 Ceccarelli<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ce qui frappe d\u2019embl\u00e9e, lorsqu\u2019on \u00e9coute ses albums ou qu\u2019on le d\u00e9couvre sur sc\u00e8ne, c\u2019est cette \u00e9nergie dansante, presque solaire, qui se d\u00e9gage de ses improvisations. Il joue comme d\u2019autres respirent : avec une \u00e9vidence d\u00e9concertante, mais aussi cette fragilit\u00e9 secr\u00e8te que seuls les musiciens profond\u00e9ment sensibles parviennent \u00e0 dissimuler derri\u00e8re la virtuosit\u00e9. Son phras\u00e9 ne cherche jamais \u00e0 impressionner pour lui-m\u00eame : il raconte, il \u00e9largit, il d\u00e9roule des paysages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Herbin poss\u00e8de aussi cette qualit\u00e9 rare \u2014 une capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 relier les mondes. Du jazz moderne aux racines latino-am\u00e9ricaines, de la tradition bebop aux chants populaires, il fait dialoguer des courants que l\u2019on opposerait volontiers, et qui, sous son alto, semblent soudain d\u00e9border du m\u00eame fleuve. L&rsquo;inattendu <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-fr\/album\/7oul52DrCSfKdPLdN7W8CM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #339966;\">SYMMETRIC<\/span><\/a> symbolise parfaitement cela : une alliance objective entre le suave des ann\u00e9es 50 et une musique \u00e9lectronique, c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e par une trompette et un saxophone sous le sceau de la modernit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mais au-del\u00e0 de sa carri\u00e8re d\u2019instrumentiste, il s\u2019affirme \u00e9galement comme un passeur. Son engagement p\u00e9dagogique \u2014 ateliers, masterclass, collaborations \u00e9ducatives \u2014 t\u00e9moigne d\u2019une volont\u00e9 de rendre la musique accessible, vivante, et d&rsquo;outrepasser son aversion pour les r\u00e9seaux sociaux.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sur sc\u00e8ne, cet \u00e9tat d\u2019esprit se traduit par une forme de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 : le dialogue permanent avec ses partenaires, l\u2019\u00e9coute attentive, l\u2019envie de construire un r\u00e9cit collectif plut\u00f4t que de briller seul.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Nomin\u00e9 pour la deuxi\u00e8me fois aux <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7hl8qo8q_aI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">victoire du jazz<\/span><\/a>, baptiste nous offre un spectacle merveilleux, fait de silences musicaux \u00e9vocateurs et d&rsquo;une sonorit\u00e9 qui a su transcender l&rsquo;h\u00e9ritage aviaire de Kansas City pour se poser sur le toit du jazz europ\u00e9en comme un quetzal resplendissant.
